A New Year message

BACK TO MAIN INDEX

Dear patients,

My Partners and I thought that we would write to you to wish you all a Happy New Year and to thank you for your support during the challenging past years we have had throughout the pandemic. We are pleased to announce that our planned move to the old Lidl Supermarket site is now going ahead full steam. We plan to update our website with more details as soon as we can to keep you informed of progress.

Whilst the pandemic has been hugely challenging for our patients and their relatives, our staff and the NHS and society in general it remains a privilege to do our bit to support you through the challenges that life throws our way. The pressures on our service have been enormous and we have relied on a lot of staff goodwill and dedication to keep going. It has been especially difficult for our reception teams in the face of enormous demand and sometimes daily changes in protocols or processes. It is always pleasing for patients to recognise the hard job that our reception team have by expressing their thanks and gratitude where deserved. Unfortunately, a small minority of patients are verbally abusive to our receptionists. This has an enormous impact on their wellbeing and is totally unacceptable to us. Sadly, this has resulted in reception staff shortages which in the end has a negative impact on the service we can provide to you.

We therefore ask that in 2022, as we look forward to a bright future for our practice and the care we can provide you in our new building, that our patients show their support for our reception staff by being polite, patient and recognising the integral and important part they provide in the service we provide in these challenging times.

Thank you

Dr's Ferguson, Burgess, Fisher-Plum, El-Gohary, Faizi, Kumar, Crump, Morris, Evans and Chutter.
